Imagine....
57.jpg
After spending a sunny Saturday at the Lake or Lincoln Park zoo, walking home, and entering an incredibly large, peaceful. open and airy sanctuary. Relax outside on one of three outdoor living spaces, drift away in your spa-like master bath where you unwind in your deep jacuzzi tub, or steam in your steam shower, and then rest in your comfortably huge master bedroom.

Imagine...

Preparing dinner in your open kitchen, with your state-of-the-art, stainless steel Viking Professional stove, or convection microwave oven, while entertaining guests or enjoying your family.

Imagine...

Really imagine....

Celebrating the Cubs World Series win on your exclusive rooftop deck, with your closest friends. OK....though the Cubs may win...you can still celebrate whatever occasion you choose on your own rooftop deck with amazing city views.

Imagine....

Stopping in to see all of this and more yourself on Sunday from 1 p to 4 p.

See you there.

I thought I would post a link of the new rates for the City of Chicago's 2008 Fees. To see the fee schedule, click here.
In case you hadn't heard, ComEd is offering its customers a rebate for their 2007 usage. Download the form here.

Here is a very important announcement. Cook County Board of Review is reopening the ability for county tax payers to request a reassessment of the property tax for their home basing the new assessment on the current declining markets.

Please read this press release and immediately follow-up because the window of opportunity is very small.

Good luck....if you need help determining your assessed value, let me know.
I know it's been a couple of days since my last post, but I got a little bit busy. I spent half the day in the West Loop at a Catholic school taking photos for a piece they are putting together. It was a whole lot of fun spending the day with kids. It makes you kinda wish you could go back to school, at that time in your life, armed with the knowledge you have gained, and do it all over again.

If I could go back in time with the knowledge I have right now, not only would I bet it all on Da Bears...Da Bulls...Da Sox...and sometimes Da Cubs....but I would spend more time sleeping, cuz I would know that it wouldn't change my future, and that no, I wouldn't be sleeping my life away. I would sleep and try to bottle up all that extra sleep, so I could cruise off of that now...

Alright...enough of fantasy island.

Anyway, I will be posting something cooler a little later on.

By the way, after spending the day at this school...I really recommend that if you are living in the West Loop and looking for a great school for your kindergartner to 8th grader, check out St. Malachy on Washington & Oakley. It has a lot going for it. I'm thinking of putting the Bugga there.
Well...Chicagoan Pat Sajek and Vanna White are spinning their wheels here in Chicago at Navy Pier over the next few days. The Wheel of Fortune set are taping three shows here to celebrate its 25th season on the air. The Chicago-based shows will start airing the week of April 28th.
This time being headlined by Radiohead and Nine Inch Nails. The rest of the 100+ band to make up the rest of the lineup over the three day music extravaganza will be announced next month.

So keep a look out for that upcoming news.
It's official...FHA has rolled out its new mortgage limits. To find out the limits in your county, check out the web page here.

Once again, I am hosting an open house for this Sunday, March 9 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at 920 West Barry.

This incredibly awesome 3 bedroom, 2 bath condo has some many features, you really have to experience it personally to believe it. The kitchen features appliances from Bosch, Viking, and Sub-Zero. The master bedroom suite features a huge walk-in closet, a deck, and a master bath that features heated tile floors, a steam shower, his and hers (separated) sinks, and a deep jacuzzi to soak in after a long day.

As if all of that is enough, this wonderful penthouse sanctuary features an exclusive, large rooftop deck with 100% rooftop access. It also has a deck off of the living room with a gas pipe for gas grilling anytime of year.

It's an extra wide unit on a 34' wide lot and you get south exposure sunshine from three walls. It is open and airy.

To add to all of its pluses, it has just been reduced to $679,000, so come out and take a look.

Gorgeous brick, 2-fla6436 South Artesiant in the Chicago Lawn area has just been reduced to $215,000. This is a great building at a phenomonal price. It needs a little bit of work, but it is 2-units, a three bedroom and a two bedroom.

This building features original woodwork throughout in great condition. Hardwood floors. Large bedrooms and formal living rooms and dining rooms.

This is a great value and definitely worth taking a look at.

Seriously,

A 10 foot by 10 foot pothole 8 feet deep opened up under a minivan in the 2600 block of West Luther Street. The minivan fell in and was towed out by city workers.

Check out the story to see the hole.

Good news Chicagoan's, the CTA (Chicago Transit Authority to those not in the know) will now be taking credit cards at the fare card vending machines. This is absolutely fabulous news because catching the train is now that much easier. I always hated having to get cash for the machine because I am debit card dependent. But now....I will always be ready to ride.

Now if I could just remember which pocket my card is in.
Here is a really good article that really illustrates why buyers should seriously plan on commiting to their dream home now.
